Login to the NLAdata
Quick start to test the system
Register for a user. New user registrations get minimum access. You can do a few things. Try them out.
If you registered with a lot number, the secretary needs to verify your type of user and lot number. Then your
user will get more access to the system.
Try then to log in with the person who is Secretary. You will find auto-logins at the log in screen during
the test peroid.
- After successful login, please go to the Users menu
- Click on the red lot number and user type to verify them
- Log out and log back in with your user.
You should have more access
With the Secretary, you can add a boat to your user/lot, and then your user will get a new menu item "boats"
When you are logged in with your account, try to add a child. Log out and create a new user with your child's name. You will find that the user suggests the personal details you just created. But wait, here we might have a security issue if some other people are hijacking/stalking another person. So, this type of information is very important for the development team to hear and maybe with a suggestion like: "need a confirmation for date of the birth year, and/or postal number?"
Then you can elevate your user to an elected position at NLA. Log in with the Secretary and set yourself in a position (committee menu) for a year. If no permission is set for that position, you have to do that too from the Settings menu->PositionsPermissions or the Committe menu
Some more information about the NLAdata
The data in the database is build up on fake data for testing purposes. Do whatever you want. It is easy to clear and re-seed the database with fake data.
How to use it in a test mode
You can either:- Create a user from scratch and choose your own password.
- Log in with a pre registered user with their e-mail and password password
Two menues:
- The normal NLA user (blue top menu)
- The elected person in a position. (they get an additional grey menu)
Log in with a pre-registered user with a position
People with a position get the grey menu where abilities will show up. This is controlled by permissions. That is not set up very well yet. BUT the Secretary has the permissions to set these permissions. So as a beginning, try to log in with the fictive person who was elected as a Secretary at the AM 2024 and active for 2025.
Elected Secretary for 2025:
Franz Heathcote
Username: lelah.cole@example.net
Password: password
No admin user?
The system has a super user that can be set on a user, but it will not be used in production for security
purposes.
For the time being, the Secretary is allowed to set permissions on positions through the Setting
menu.
